Gallows. Wojcieszów (German: Kauffung), poviat: Złotoryja
- Wojcieszów (German: Kauffung), poviat: Złotoryja.
- The gallows was built east of Wojcieszów, on the south-eastern slope of the Trzciniec hill.
- Date: no data. The 17th century is most often cited as the time of its construction.
- Description: It is a cylindrical well with an internal diameter of almost 600 cm and a height of 300 cm, the thickness varies from 100 to 120 cm. Four stone pillars were erected on the crown of the walls: 320, 400, 290, 350 cm, with visible traces of sockets for placing the execution beams. From the west side, there is an entrance to the well, measuring 230x160x120 cm. The building was made of granite blocks.
- Comments: the gallows in Wojcieszów is the best preserved object of this type in Lower Silesia. It was renovated in the 1930s. Based on one of the Jelenia Góra chronicles, it is known that three executions were carried out here in 1682. The interior of the building and its immediate surroundings were archaeologically examined in 2009 and 2022.
